VW Splitting with Audi? I wish I was talking about split WINDOWS instead. But not to be. More rumors. Due to changes in German law that will expose VW to a hostile takeover, rumor has it that VW may be considering selling off a sizable portion of its Audi division. Doing so would raise cash, and thereby raise the stock value of VW; making a stock buy-out more difficult. It’s just one of several options under consideration. Even if this should happen, VW would retain controlling share in Audi.
