We had a beautiful day and nice turn out for the Lakeland Christmas parade on Saturday, December 1st. We had 10 member cars present with a good representation of different VW models:
Other than a few "tired" left "clutch legs" we only had one mishap, which was dead battery. What luck that Tim Key had a new one, intended for his bus. He made a 30-minute loan of if until a new one could be purchased at the local sears. Thanks Tim! As the only "photographer" at the event, I want to apologize for making an operator error. I unintentionally deleted photos of Eddie’s, Herbie’s, Tina’s, Camille’s, Tim’s, & Eric’s VWs… and worst of all "Martin", Tim’s English bulldog. Sorry folks. I really feel bad. Camille had a wild Hawaiian Christmas theme going. Eddie’s green bug with red bows looked especially festive. We all wanted to steal Martin. Tim says Martin is really spoiled. Hope I can get some photos in Olive Branch. Looking forward to next year! Lining them up.
