  2. The Schulenburg family owned the original Wolfsburg castle. Coun von der Schulenburg fought unsuccessfully to keep all his land (he did not lose it all).

  3. Major Ivan Hurst was a member of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, a British military unit. He came too Wolfsburg in 1945.
