I apologize if this newsletter is not quite up to par. This month has been out of the ordinary.

But on the cool side, we have a Christmas parade in Horn Lake, MS coming up in 3 and a half weeks. Time to start getting creative about your VW decorations. Please remember the theme is “Let Freedom Ring.” Perhaps you can work some American flags and yellow ribbons into your scheme. So far we have about 18 commitments. If you haven’t contacted me about it yet, we never turn anybody away. Check out page 5 for some details. If you contact me soon, I can add you to the email updates. We will also be having lunch together after this morning parade. Looking forward to seeing everybody again.

It was another great evening for our Autumn Drive-In Movie Night. After a warm day at the NASCAR races, it was very pleasant to sit out under the stars and enjoy the movies. I’m sorry more of you couldn’t enjoy it with us. Ron & Barbara S., Mark H. and his friend, and Mark C. and 3 of his friends joined Connie and me. Perhaps you can make it at the next one, “Memphis in May Movie Night.”

Our holiday season is nearly upon us. Thanksgiving is just a week after our meeting. Then, “Ho, ho, ho… it’s Christmas in the Mid-South.” We will all be busy, spending time with family and friends, traveling … picking up gifts for those special folks in your life. Always remember “the reason for the season” as we go about our lives. And, HEY, don’t forget to hook up with your VW friends!
